This microphone was originally part of Sony Studio on West 54th technical director David Smith's private collection. When Dave passed away I purchased it. The mic was hand selected out of a collection of other Mic's Dave owned as the best sounding one of the litter. Since purchased it has been used by Beyonce on 2 LP's, John Legend, and numerous other artists of notoriety. An amazing piece of equipment with an incredible history.
