The I-35 LC features a maple laminate top, sides, and back, the result of a custom-laminated construction process that Bill Collings and his R&D team developed in pursuit of the best tonal qualities of semi-hollow guitar design. Crafted to respond acoustically in perfect harmony with its electronics, the design and technique used for our “LC” models has provided another unique way for us to voice our instruments for superior response and tone.
The I-35 LC Deluxe features a grained ivoroid-bound body, fingerboard, and peghead, along with our custom ivoroid top hat knobs, pickup rings, and truss rod cover.
The I-35 LC Deluxe bodies are built using our proprietary laminate construction (“LC”) formulas and techniques and feature a maple/spruce center block. These laminate guitars produce a drier, woodier, and mid-forward tone characteristic of classic semi-hollow guitars.
