I am offering a Martin 000-28EC from 2022, the handcrafted in Nazareth, USA, all solid timber Eric Clapton signature model acoustic guitar with a handy 000 body shape, selected Sitka spruce top over a scalloped X-bracing, back and sides made of richly figured East Indian Rosewood, set-in mahogany neck with modified V neck profile and 44.45mm bone nut, dark ebony fretboard with elaborate squares & diamonds inlays incl. custom Eric Clapton signature at the 20th fret, ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle, high-end L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system and Martin Gotoh Open Gear Butterbean nickel tuners in a toned natural high-gloss nitro finish with herringbone binding and tortoise pickguard in mint condition, including Martin deluxe hardshell case, all manufacturer's papers, and professional setup with 12-gauge Elixir strings.
The 000-28EC is one of Martin's most popular signature models and is based on Eric Clapton's legendary 1939 000-42, which he played on his famous MTV Unplugged concert in the early 1990s, among other occasions. This design combines the compact dimensions of the 000 shape with a neck-body transition at the 14th fret for a full, focused sound character that is equally suited to fingerstyle, blues, and acoustic strumming.
The solid Sitka spruce top over scalloped X bracing, combined with the East Indian rosewood sides and back, gives the guitar an extremely balanced and dynamic sound: transparent highs, defined mids, and a round bass foundation. The modified V-neck profile is based on vintage pre-war models and offers a direct, traditional feel with perfect control for fingerstyle techniques.
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
This Martin 000-28EC has been professionally upgraded with an L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system, which gives the guitar a clear, authentic acoustic sound even when amplified.
Visually, the fine herringbone binding, aged high-gloss nitro finish, tortoise pickguard, and detailed abalone inlays, including Eric Clapton's signature on the 20th fret, create a distinctive vintage look with a touch of elegance. The open Gotoh Butterbean tuners emphasize the classic, historic appearance.
