The legend of Ibanez Soundgear basses starts with this GSR100EX. The small, thin, comfortable neck that SRs are known for has been maintained on the maple version of this bass. The deep neck pocket also keeps things solid. The poplar body is rounded at the edges to reduce weight.
Electronics consist of a passive humbucker pickup, with a straightforward set of controls: 1volume and 1 tone control. Everything you need to hold down the low-end.
Other quality features include chrome die cast tuners, easy-access truss rod cover, and easy to adjust bridge.
