A rare and unique find in Australia is an original Epiphone Electar Century Model Tube Amplifier from 1939.
Running original 110 volt power transformer made in New York with a natural lacquer maple veneer finish. This was Epiphone's smaller, mid-priced amplifier designed for both professionals and students.
Known for its stylish amber blonde maple cabinet with a script “E” grille, the amp delivers about 10–15 watts through the single original Alnico Rola 12" speaker. All tube power featuring three inputs plus volume and tone controls. This amp produces a warm, smooth tone that becomes overdriven when pushed. Adored by Jazz, Western Swing and early Rockabilly players alike.
Some screws have been replaced and original logo is missing however most of the core components, valves transformer and speaker appear original! Step down transformer included.
Designed by Nathan Daniel (later of Danelectro), it remains a cherished model among vintage amp enthusiasts. A rare find!
