Zildjian K Custom Hybrid 16" Crash Cymbal – Brilliant and Dark Tones Combined

The Zildjian K Custom Hybrid 16" Crash Cymbal merges two distinct sonic characters into one versatile instrument. Developed in collaboration with renowned drummer Akira Jimbo, this crash features a brilliant finish on the inner half paired with a traditional finish on the outer half, creating a balanced voice that delivers both cutting brightness and warm darkness. The hybrid construction draws from both classic K Zildjian techniques and contemporary hammering methods, offering modern players an instrument with depth and character.

Precision-crafted with a fine pattern of narrow symmetrical grooves, this 16" crash produces a distinctly dry sound while maintaining excellent projection. The grooved design stiffens the cymbal for controlled response across dynamic playing styles. Whether you're performing jazz, fusion, rock, or world music, this crash provides the tonal complexity and playability that working drummers demand.
