Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
John Mayer single-handedly sparked an international frenzy of singer-songwriter inspiration with his landmark inaugural album, Room for Squares. A significant part of the reason acoustic guitar culture continues to thrive in modern times is John's continued usage of the flat-top as a songwriting vehicle in his work.
This model is the result of a wildly successful partnership between Martin and John Mayer to create the legendary signature model which he still plays well over a decade later. Catered brilliantly to John's ever-versatile styles of play, the Engelmann spruce top provides exceptional sensitivity for fingerpicked passages, as well as great power and clarity when strummed.
The rosewood back/sides and standard 25.4" scale length provide a beautiful warm response and great projection/volume, respectively. The OMJM John Mayer is a guitar that simultaneously honors John Mayer's brilliant musicianship and Martin's rich heritage of tonal supremacy in one fell swoop!
