Up for grabs is ONE very lightly used (rarely handled) genuine Gibson TONE (small print) knob from PRMK-030 set (only ONE TONE knob for sale / the other three knobs are NOT included).

  • Unfortunately - I do not have any other of the same style / same color Gibson knobs (I sold them a few years ago).

This knob is from around the late 2000s or early 2010s. I had purchased the set new back then (complete set NOT part of this listing) and very briefly put it on a Gibson guitar. I did not like the look so I took the knob off and for all of these years it has been safely stored in a baggie in a box that was in a closet. From a pet-free / smoke-free home environment.

  • As I mentioned above - the other three knobs were sold.

Pictures # 23 and # 24 are only shown for color comparison (to show the the reflector color on the knobs in this listing are definitely gold.

  • The black TONE knob with the silver reflector is NOT part of this listing. But I plan to list it in a separate REVERB listing later today. After I list it -- I'll add the REVERB link for it in this descripton.

This Knob is Gold with White Numbers & White Dashes (Reflector is Gold with Black Print - the PRINT is SMALL).

NOTE:  The print for the word TONE is SMALL Size. It is NOT the big size print (hat is on most currently & recently made Gibson kniobs. I am mentioning this because some Gibson knobs of this style and color MIGHT have a bigger print.

  • Feel free to ask for comparison pictures of this knob with a Gibson knob with bigger print on the reflector part.

==

NOTE: Several years ago Gibson used to make knobs with the numbers imprinted on the under-side (botom side) as seen in pictures # 8, # 9, # 20, # 21, and # 22.

NOTE: For several years now (probably the last 15 years) - Gibson makes the underside (bottom side) of thier knobs smooth. Not sure if it matters to you - but I just wanted to let you know -- because for some people -- this type of info / these details are important (esp if matching the appearance of the bottom sides is important).

This genuine Gibson TONE Control Knob [Top Hat Style] is Gold with White Numbers and White Dashes and with GOLD Top (reflector / insert) with SMALL Black Letters].

Made in the USA

This knob fits on a split shaft stem that has FINE vertical grooves / ridges / teeth / splines (24 splines on knob/ 20 splines on pot ). The last picture shows this kind of stem (the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included). As you can see -- I mean a stem / shaft that is NOT smooth and that does NOT get held on the the stem with a screw). It can fit a long stem or short stem shaft. The last pictures shows a shows a pot with a short stem shaft (again - the pot is shown for example only - it is NOT included).

** This listing is for what is seen in the pictures and what is described in my description.

NOTE:

Since this is a pre-owned (used) knob - it be a little loose on the shaft of your control(s). If this is the case - instead of you gently separating the two metal pieces of the split shaft:

  • I would highly recommend that you put a piece of tape or a piece of thin paper around the shaft of your controls -- so that the knob will have something else (aside from the metal pieces of the shaft) to grip on to.
  • I say this because if you separate the two metal pieces of the split shaft -- there is a great chance that one of the metal pieces (ot even both) will break off. I know this for personal experience.
  • Therefore it's better to play it safe and to add the piece of tape or piec eof paper around the shaft.

But if there is a possibility - that this knob might need to carefully forced down on the shaft of your control(s).

CONDITION:

The top GOLD reflector part:

  • Extremely clean. And specks are just things that the camera picked up - they are not visible in person.

Word TONE:

  • It is fine. The print is SMALL. The print is NOT big the way that Gibson recently and currently has been manufacturing the print on the top reflector areas of this style knob (regardless of the color).
  • In some of the pictures (pictures # 13 to # 19) - the print looks blurry. But as you can see in pictures # 2, # 3, # 4, # , # 7 # # 11 - it is fine.

TOP EDGES:

  • They are fine / very clean.

SIDES:

  • The main areas and the lower areas are fine / very clean. NOTE: on the lower side area (where the numbers & dashes are) the gold color near the # 10 is smooth / fine - but the imprefection(s) on the under-side (bottom side) makes it look like the gold finish has a very small "bump." But it doesn't When you put you finger on the under-side of this area - the appearance of this light "bump" goes away. Yu can kind f see what I mean by this "bump in picture # 12.
  • There are a few tiny, very minor imperfections from manufacturingin inside the mold of the knob - but not they are not on the outer surfce.
  • And any other imperfections (like specks) seen in the pictures are just things that the camer picked up.

The Center Area of the BOTTOM Side (the outer area near the very center hole)

  • It is fine. If you closelt examine this area - you can see a few extremely tiny bumps / nicks.

The very BOTTOM Outer Edge:

  • The area between the # 0 and the # 10 is ver lightly flattened (from how the knob was manufactured). This can be see in pictures # 8, # 20, and # 21.
  • The other areas of the edges are fine.

The BOTTOM Outer Side edge - -

  • The area between the # 0 and the # 10 hasa very slight curve & it's kind of flattened too from how the knob were manufactured). SEE pictures # 5, 10, 11, and # 12)
  • The other areas of the edges are fine.

Center Bottom area (hole with ridges) --

  • If you closet examine this area - you can kind of see that a little bit of the gold color has come off on inner ares where the ridges are (really no big deal).

The other areas of the BOTTOM SIDE :

  • They are fine.

You can see the condition of this knob in the pictures. Feel free to ask for more pictures of this item (especially close-up pics of the knob and / or areas of interest/ or concern).

NOTE:  There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked.   There are a few imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures.  Also  - there are a few imperfections that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.

Please message me if you need other  genuine Gibson  parts -- I have a bunch of new / packaged and used (conditions vary) genuine Gibson parts.  Little by little - I will be listing them on REVERB - but if you message me - I can arrange to do a transaction.
