Full Disclosure:

This bass has seen better days, but is still predominantly playable and with cool tones with only a few limitations. Buyer should not expect a bass that is a full 100% functional as intended instrument.

The neck has a twist and in low and mid registers plays fine with low easy action.

There are a few body cracks that affect nothing per function. One fret marker missing. Pickup selector switches functional as intended with occasional connectivity spasms, but largely work as intended. Volume and tone work on an aftermarket positioned plate/non-original. Input jack relocated. OHSC is in rough condition but included.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS BASS IS NOW MISSING ONE FRET MARKER, REGARDLESS OF THE POSTED PICTURES. It has apparently gone where odd socks go, and can't be found.

Sounds and records great.

One of my favorite basses in a 55 year career, and I will be glad to keep it if it comes to that: I recently built my own takeoff model, so I'm currently hot on THAT one, and figured it's time to pass this one along.. but the buyer needs to be FULLY AWARE of what is being purchased here, and the bass has been perfectly honestly represented

If and when you can find one, these go for BIG BUCKS... for good and well substantiated reasons... I paid $800 for this myself, and definitely still did NOT regret it. My homemade project just came out far beyond any expectations that I had any right to have, and it's just a real shame to not pass it on to someone else who will absolutely love having one, too! Rare as hens teeth, they are!

Inquiries welcome. Offers will be considered, but you should know in advance that there will NOT be much room for haggling.

This is about as low as I'm willing to go, and you guys who know these and want one... you better jump on this before someone gets the jump on you for a rare as chicken teeth bass!

ACTUAL SHIPPING COST TO BE ASSESSED TO BUYER IN ADVANCE OF SALE AND ACCORDING TO THEIR PREFERENCE. SHIPPING COST SHOWN IN THIS LISTING IS ONLY A BASE ESTIMATE!

You might want to know I don't usually ship outside the US, and a recent quote from Pittsburgh to Germany was over $500...

I've recently had a buyer who had to cancel, and I had boxed and weighed the bass in the case. It's a mamoo box, and weighs 22 lbs, per my not-necessarily- dependable scale.
