2002 Fender Japan PB57-53 '57 Reissue Precision Bass (Black)
Made by the Tokai factory in Japan for the 2002 catalog, the PB57-53 was Fender Japan's 1957 Precision Bass reissue. Basswood body with a gloss black finish, 20 fret maple neck (7.25" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs just over 4kg's. Seems to be all original except for the knobs. Good used condition as pictured with some finish wear and tear from basic use. The neck is straight and the frets are shiny with plenty of life, the truss works as it should and the pots/output jack were flushed and sound great. The previous owner seems to have buffed the neck back to remove the gloss leaving it with a soft, satin feel that eliminates the tacky feeling that some gloss necks can have.
A note for international buyers: Our Reverb shipping quotes for basses and longer guitars are with the neck removed (when possible) to reduce the size of the package. If you'd like to have it shipped with the neck on please contact us for an exact quote via UPS.
