- Paul Reed Smith Guitars PRS #8 pickups set, rarest of the rare in PRS pickups.
- These were only made for Paul's friends or in his own guitars, never put into production.
- I was able to get these while working at PRS in 2002.
- They have a vintage PAF character, while being slightly fuller, a little more output.
- They have the nickel brushed covers w/ gold screws that you see in PRS Private Stock guitars from that era.
- Treble model measures 9.92k, bass model measures 8.12k.
I build gear for a living, so I don't like doing demos with gear that other people cannot buy, and for some reason, Paul kept these mostly private. Once I saw on the PRS site that he only "makes them for friends" (that's gone now), I stopped using them.
