Serviced in 2020 This 1962 Fender Showman 6G14A Piggyback guitar amp and cab plays amazingly and LOUDLY. The choice of Dick Dale, who helped in it's development, the headroom on this early 100 watt amp is fantastic.
Sadly, somebody painted the original blonde tolex black at some point. Other than that, this amp is killer.
There's something a little different, and dare I say a little better about the brown/maroon face Fender's. They just have a sound. This amp is no different. And it's loud...so definitely play it in a place where you can get it up over 5 on the volume knob to really make it shine.
Serial: 01243 dating from 1962
4x GE 6LC GC
1x GE and 3x JJ 7025's
2 Tung-Sol 12AX7's.
Original 12" Jensen D131 - 16ohm Speaker
Oxblood Grill is original.
Condition: you can see in the photos how some of the blonde tolex shows through in areas like the back and the top of the piggyback cab. It's possible remove the paint but I've never done it so i didn't want to destroy the original tolex.
