Manufactured at the Fujigen factory in 1986, per the neck date and the E serial number prefix; this ST62-55 features the small "spaghetti" logo with the 55 model designation sticker still intact. An extremely comfortable, slightly thin oval shaped neck with a very dark rosewood fingerboard leads to a basswood body in a tobacco brown sunburst polyester finish. A trio of original ST Vintage pickups is controlled by a one volume, two tone knob configuration and a 5-way switch that is a new replacement. Additional hardware includes a 1-ply pickguard and a vintage-style die-cast block tremolo assembly with bent steel saddles.

Apart from the 5-way switch and tremolo arm, all hardware and electronics appear original and are functioning as they should. Additionally, the frets have been freshly levelled, crowned and polished while the neck remains straight with an adjustable truss rod.

There is some minor wear present on the fretboard, especially in the first postion and additional shallow denting/scratching in a thin line along the back of the neck starting behind the 5th fret and extending almost to the heel. While you can feel it, it doesn't impede the performance of the neck. Additional cosmetic wear is found throughout the instrument in the form of minor dents and scratches to the finish, scratches and discoloration of the plastics and minor corrosion to the hardware with rust present on the saddle height screws.

Comes with the original vinyl gig bag and replacement tremolo arm.

We always try to accurately convey the condition of our products, however please bear in mind that feel, performance and even condition are subjective. In light of this, please examine the photos carefully!

When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
