The Electro-Harmonix Superego Synth Engine takes sample-and-hold technology to a whole new level, offering guitarists and sound designers an expansive palette of polyphonic synthesizer-like textures. Built on EHX's iconic freeze architecture, this pedal captures your incoming guitar signal and transforms it into lush, infinite pads, ambient soundscapes, and fluid glissando transitions. Whether you want to lay down a drone chord to solo over or craft evolving, complex tonal layers, the Superego delivers exceptional sonic versatility with intuitive control.

Crafted in Electro-Harmonix’s classic, rugged enclosure, the Superego is built to withstand heavy stage use while offering deep signal routing options. Its dedicated effects loop allows you to insert outside modulation, delay, or pitch pedals directly into the frozen wet signal without altering your dry guitar tone. Dynamic controls for attack and decay let you sculpt how your frozen tones fade in and out, giving you complete command over the feel and shape of your synth patches.
