Gibson Thunderbird 2013 - Ebony (w/ mods and Thunderbuckers!)

It's gut-wrenching to sell this bass, but bills are piling up. This bass originally was part of a pair that I own where the first was a true 1976 Bicentennial in ebony and this 2013 that was modified to look as close to the Bicentennial as possible. This includes changing out the pickups for a pair of Thunderbuckers ('63 models), a pickup cover for the bridge pickup, and vintage style tuners. Additionally, I swapped out the typical 3 point bridge for a Babicz as a matter of personal preference. I'm leaving all of the modded pieces in place, but I am also including the original parts in case you'd prefer to retrofit the bass yourself.

As for condition, I'd say that this is a player-condition+ simply due to a few dings on the body (I tried to picture, but they are really small), and the most notable is the pair of holes next to the bridge humbucker where the pickup cover used to be. I would have attached it, however the Babicz is sizable enough that it prevents me from putting it back in place, but obviously this can be fixed if you simply swap back to the original bridge and attach the bridge plate. Outside of that, this was my primary gigging bass for years, so it does have a few slight indentations in the finish as black simply makes *everything* show up.

Oh, and the best part of this bass? It's just a hair under 8 lbs. This thing really saved my back when compared to the Bicentennial tank bass that I use in the studio. I've never run into a Gibson TB that's lighter than this bass, though I suppose a few could exist. Seriously, this is a rare bird (dad joke incoming!).
