About This Listing

I have added shipping to Canada as an option, my FedEx vendor handles International Shipping and will assist me with the logistics and the required forms.
A very nice Fury Concord L-S Jazz Series Thinline Electric Guitar dating from 1974 with original case offered for sale here. I purchased this 6 years ago from The Twelfth Fret Guitar Shop in Toronto and sadly I need to let it go as life changes and an impending move to a smaller domicile will be occuring in the next few months.
This is the description from the 12th Fret listing for the guitar...."The Fury Concord has a number of interesting features. It is a double cutaway thinline hollowbody, with the top and back carved from one solid peice of Honduras mahogany. The maple back has a tuned reflex chamber - this is the raised section visible on the back. The top has two stylized F-holes. The neck is three-piece maple with a rosewood headplate and ebony fingerboard with zero fret and position marker dots on the bass side. The scale length is 25 inches - the Concord was also available with a shorter 23.75 inch scale. For hardware, the Fury Concord sports Grover Roto-Matic tuners and pretty much everything else was Fury designed. There are two angled, stacked humbuckers, a Fury trapeze tailpiece and an adjustable bridge on an ebony and maple base. Wiring is pretty standard with a selector switch and individual volume and tone controls."
The Fury Concord is in overall excellent condition with very light wear (the flash from the digital camera sometimes brings out marks that are not visible to the naked eye). There is a bit of scratching to the left of the neck pickup, I played the guitar at a couple of gigs and that's where I hold my hand and pick the strings. I removed the pickguard as it got in the way when I played in said position, I forgot to reattach the pickguard for the photo shoot, but it is included in the sale, it is in overall excellent condition as seen in the photos I included of it. There is a bit of light edgewear on the guitar as well. The neck is slender and fast as is the case with all Fury guitars, be it a bass or an electric guitar, and they are a joy and pleasure to play. As heard in the You Tube video, the pickups and controls all work well and the pickups have an extremely strong output. The chambered body is another example of the genius that Glenn McDougall was when it came to building guitars. I often play this guitar unamplified, it has a nice natural reverb that comes out as well when played through an amp, part of the magic of the chambered body.
The Fury guitar case is in overall very good condition with some surface wear as well as edgewear. It is the deluxe model with the 3 digit combination lock feature as seen in the photos. I have it set and will send the 3 digit number each side is set at.
The pictures pretty much tell the story, if you have any questions pertaining to the guitar and case, feel free to ask them.  I have described this guitar and case and their conditions accurately and am selling them as is with no returns due to their age and vintage condition.
I have added shipping to Canada as an option, my FedEx vendor handles International Shipping and will assist me with the logistics and the required forms. I know some of you who live close to the US border have mailboxes on the US side, perhaps we can facilitate something with one or more of you who do in regard to shipping to Canada. I would be happy to meet the buyer in Niagara Falls, or near the Champlain or Rousses Point border crossings in Northern NY State if that is convenient.
US Shipping cost is based on West Coast Zip Codes, I have a FedEx account, contact me with your address and Zip Code before committing to buy and I will send you an exact  shipping quote with insurance. Thank you.
I will ship guitars to Canada via Fedex, $125, if my cost is less I will adjust total when shipping location is determined, buyer will pay all duties and any tax that is associared with shipping.
