I have never seen a D'Angelico in the flesh before, and now we have one in the shoppe. Built on 9/22/1941 as documented in John D'Angelico's ledgers, Serial No. 1545. 17 1/8" Body, 24.75" scale. Refinished, replaced bridge, tailpiece, and pickguard, 2 repaired top cracks, one 8", the other 5". The refinishing and the pickguard were likely done by Bob Benedetto. Due to the level of repair and restoration done to this guitar, it is more of a Player's guitar than a collector piece. A truly wonderful, legendary instrument from one of the most storied builders in America in the early mid 20th century. Includes what appears to be the original hard shell case. We ship within the U.S. only (Alaska and Hawaii rates higher). Due to the high value nature of this instrument, our shipping fee reflects travel clear across the country. the actual shipping rate will be calculated at purchase, and if necessary, the difference will be refunded. Send us any questions you may have, and thanks for visiting the Appalachian Bluegrass Shoppe on reverb!
