Hofner Colorama II model 164V made in Germany in 1964/5. The ''II'' after Colorama stands for two pickups and the ''V'' stands for vibrato or tremolo. The solid body is covered with the red ''snakeskin'' original vinyl with a white centre dividing strip. there are two ''diamond'' pickups with two volume and two tone controls, the original adjustable Hofner metal bridge and tremolo tailpiece.
It is all original except possibly for the knobs which may not be but look good. It is fully working and plays very well and is in a superb condition. It comes with a period fitted Hofner hardcase which has been well used and repaired with tape etyc, and the handle is only fixed on one side as seen in the photo - however, it is still serviceable and all the catches work.
It would be difficult to find a nicer example.
