2001 Gibson USA Nikki Sixx Signature Blackbird Bass (Limited Edition)
This model is the signature model of Nikki Sixx, known from Mötley Crüe
Gibson Nikki Sixx Signature Blackbird Bass in Matte Black finish made in 2001 with OHSC. This guitar features a Mahogany Body With 9-Ply mahogany walnut Neck through design and an ebony fingerboard. Equipped with Gibson Soapbar Thunderbird pickups, controlled by a single 2-way Toggle switch. The 34” scale length neck has Iron Cross inlays, 20 Medium jumbo frets with a rounded slim thunderbird neck profile. The hardware is Comprised of Grover tuning machines and a Gibson 3-point adjustable bridge, a clear Acrylic Pickguard, Schaller strap locks and Nikki’s “Opto-Grab” Handle!

This bass was purchased by a collector in September 2020 from Dijkmans Muziek, one of the leading guitar stores in The Netherlands.
Dijkmans Muziek's luthier completed a minor repair on the wing — specifically, the seam between the body and wing got loose, so no breakage (see attached image from the original seller, Dijkmans Muziek). Dijkmans Muziek.
Once I received it, the bass was professionally set up by a luthier and has been stored ever since.
