Going to dispense with the details since if you’re here you’re probably a serious LP collector/player. Priced higher than similar R9’s due to great figuring 🔥 and 8 lbs 5 oz weight 💡 (unbelievably light for solid/non-weight relieved build). This is reflective of dry wood (less water in it) which promotes greater resonance/sustain.
What also sets this example apart is the grain on the mahogany back which is straight as a ruler 📏. Finally, the playability is superb given the Murphy rolled edges when go a step beyond their “stock” Custom Shop counterparts.
Murphy Labs are always scarce and this is one of the more prime examples showing slightly more wear than just “checking” alone.
Color is Cherry Teaburst 🍒 Excellent condition with COA, hangtags, OHSC, and all case candy. Kept in case or Hercules stand and the instrument has never left my office since I purchased from Cannon Guitars in July 2022.
