1949 National archtop model 1140 from 1949 with Gibson L-50 body. Completely original. Fitted with the "Stylist" adjustable heel-less neck. It's in a striking not quite tobacco burst colour, maybe mustard burst? Very good overall condition, there is crazing to the finish, as you'd expect, and there is an old repair to a crack in the top which has been stable in my ownership (over ten years). The tuners have the national logo covers, the rosewood fretboard is a little worn but not enough to show up in a photograph or to cause problems. Fret wear is minimal. The lower bout measures 16 1/4" the upper is 11 5/8". Neck width at nut 43mm, action is 2mm at the 12th fret, although since the neck is adjustable this could be set up however you like. The bridge is original and rosewood. The photos taken outside do not flatter the finish which is good for 75 years old, the last photo gives a better idea of the condition of the finish.
