Roland JD- 800 Digital Synth

As-is
This is an early 1990’s synthesizer that plays samples and offers many front panel controls (filters, samples, envelopes, LFO’s: to alter sounds easily in real time). It was the first synth that offered these features after the loong and medieval menu diving days of the 1980’s. So I bought it. Search it on Youtube if you want to see good reviews of it and get a feel.

As you can see in the photos, this synth has alot of cosmetic dings, and the keys don’t work correctly because of the infamous “red glue” problem.

That said, there is nothing wrong with the MIDI interface - the synthesizer works remotely from another instrument.
I have not restored the original factory patches - I leave that to the buyer.

This is either a project for an aspiring handy-person, or could be used through the MIDI interface.

========

I’m not interested in trades, offers, or shipping this anywhere. It could be tested at my place in Berkeley, with masks on the porch.

Thanks for looking!
