A very very RARE Made in Japan guitar. This is a 1962 Maxitone Guitar made in the Hoshino Factory better known for the Ibanez guitars. What a cool guitar outfit. This guitar even has the bridge cover and whammy bar. Those are always missing!
We got this guitar in very neglected condition. We knew it has all the parts so we couldn't wait to clean it up. What a beautiful guitar was under all the dust and grime from long ago. We sent it to Jeff the Tech who got all the switches working as well as setting it up great with a new set of 10's. The guitar has a 24 1/2 inch scale neck as measured from the zero fret. The nut measures 1 11/16 inches. Great feel to this neck!

The guitar has a big fat neck. Cool in the hand ...Makes me think of Muddy Waters with his Japanese guitars that he played the blues on for years. The pickups have each an individual volume know and the tone is handled with a switch next to the pickup switches. Its either bassy or treble. The pickups are all working great. Muddy Blues tones are all here in this guitar. Good action for playing pleasure!
Check out the original hard shell case and case candy! The case is as nice as the guitar. Even has the accessory box in it. Only the key latch is not working. The other latches and hinges are there and working properly. How bout that accessory pouch. I couldn't believe what was in it when we got this guitar. It has a cool 1960's Cord Strap that's never been used and the never been used truss rod tool. Incredible that we have that with this guitar. See pics 14 and 15...

Incredible find but vintage and used so please, its sold as is no returns. Thanks for respecting that. I have hand picked all my customers instruments for over 20 years now. They all love the guitars I found them. I fully expect that you will love this guitar as well!
