A Vintage and RARE 1968 Made in Japan Decca Guitar made by Sakai Mikko Company LTD .. Decca guitars are very similar to Teisco and Kawai models but were made by this company....Very hot and cool Pickup on this one that is all original including the case... These are very cool guitars that you don't see every day. Not your standard MIJ guitar!
Decca were known for making these and Noble, Melody, Audition, Cameo and Trump branded guitars...
No dates on it but they were made, but we have access to a catalog showing one like this in 1968. I have not seen the logo plate like this one. You can just make out the D on it. See pic 8.
There are dings and scratches. Only superficial but I wanted to point them out. The back has lots of finish cracks and crazing..No wood breaks. Only surface checking.. No suprises here. Check those pics.This guitar looks great but its not perfect..superficial dings and scratches as you can see in the pics.....the original pickup sounds awesome. Cool raw single coil garage band sound outta this one! This guitar is a blast to play ...Frets are still in very good shape. Plays like a dream! What a looker!! .....it sounds great and its all original.....
Check out that original case! You never see the cases with these guitars. All latches, hinges, and handle are still with it...only the accessory box is gone ... An awesome case that has survived the 1960's!!
This guitar is cool but used and vintage so its sold as-is no returns. Thanks for respecting that.
