These are fantastic preamps, fully tested, and professionally built. If you want that vintage API tone, this is the best way to get it! Awesome on acoustic instruments, drums, electric guitar, etc.

Note, these are the stepped gain version, with the Litz wire transformers, both of which are upgrades to the stock model.

By default, we include the extremely popular Gar2520 opamp. We also offer Red Dot opamps, Rogue 5, Rogue 6, and CA-0252. Send us a message for more info on opamp options.

We also stock the CAPI VP26, VP28, and 312, so feel free to contact us if you're trying to decide which preamp is best for you.

In short, get the VP25 if you want a bigger low end, but still the vintage tone of the VP26. Get a 312 if you want a slightly more modern, less colored version of the API preamp.... it retains a little more high end detail than the VP25/26.
