8-mode Stereo Flanger Pedal with 5 User Presets

The stereo EQD Pyramids could be the ultimate flanger pedal. Eight modes and five recallable user presets unleash decades of flange inspiration at a moment's notice. A tap switch with subdivisions toggle allows users to key into the tempo of their songs — a rare feat for traditional flanger devices. The EarthQuaker Pyramids uses the same proprietary 24-bit/96kHz DSP architecture as EQD's Avalanche Run, for stereo depth and clarity unmatched by your old standbys. Another future-looking feature is Pyramids' 2-in-1 Flexi-Switch, which permits latching or momentary operation to texturize a chorus or sweeten a quick harmonic here and there. A Mix switch dials in just the right amount of sweetening, and true bypass switching preserves the integrity of your signal when out of the loop.

8 riff-fueling flanger modes

• Classic: the jet-plane flanger effect beloved by and known to many
• Through-Zero: authentic tape-style flanging with swirling stereo comb filter effects
• Barber Pole Up: continuously ascending Shepard tone
• Barber Pole Down: continuously descending Shepard tone
• Trigger Up: infinitely ascending sweep that restarts with each pick attack or press of the Tap/Trigger switch
• Trigger Down: infinitely descending sweep that restarts with each pick attack or press of the Tap/Trigger switch
• Step: rhythmic, sequencer-like stepped sweeps in both directions
• Random: chaotic flange effects — similar to a synthesizer's' sample and hold function

5 user presets

Pyramids is the first EQD pedal to feature five user-definable presets. Now you're free to wield the full power of Pyramids with no risk of losing sight of your favorites.

Latching/momentary Flexi-Switch

Pyramids' relay-based true-bypass switching system, Flexi-switch, offers both latching and momentary operation. So whether you're inspired to texturize a song, set, or solo, Pyramids gives you the flexibility you're looking for.

Tap switch for tempo sync

For users who want tempo-correct flanging effects, Pyramids includes both an integrated tap switch and subdivisions toggle ("Rate & Tap").

Wet/dry control

Another feature that sets Pyramids apart from other flangers is its Mix control, allowing users to dial in just how much sweetening to add to their dry signal. For guitarists who demand ultimate control from their effects pedals, Danny D recommends the EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids flanger.
