1955 Gretsch Cadillac Green, 3-ply Birdland drum set w/ gold plated hardware - Original/Excellent

1955 vintage 3-ply Gretsch Cadillac Green Birdland drum set, named after the Cadillac Green and gold plated house kit at the internationally respected Birdland jazz club in New York City.  This is a very rare bird, indeed.  This 22/13/16 set has had a well-documented, sympathetic restoration.  The thin 3-ply shells have been left original inside and out, only cleaned - no refinish or paint, inside or out.  Only some hardware items have been re-plated.  Mufflers intact.  Drum heads fit easily.  Overall, this set is highly original and in quite excellent condition.  I have gigged the set and it sounds amazing.  Truly, the Holy Grail of Gretsch sets - if not all American drum kits of the Fifties.  Perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire and play such a kit of this condition and significance.  Each drum will ship in a drum case, each drum in its own individual box (total: 3 boxes), fully insured.  Note: Shipping estimator does not account for multi-box shipment nor does the estimator account for declared value insurance.
