1985 Wal fretless bass.

Brazilian mahogany core, w/weathered sycamore faces. Indian ebony fingerboard w/narrow nut. Serial: 2484.

When I bought this bass last year, I emailed Wal and asked them for any info they may have on it. They said that it had originally been fretted, but that whoever did the work did a very good job. The fretboard is either highly polished or may have been possibly re-finished with epoxy. Wal themselves couldn't say for sure. The bottom line is that the neck is incredible. Super smooth and straight. Wonderful "Wah".

If you have been wanting a Wal fretless, this is a very nice one at a good price. There are obvious finish issues, as it has been played a lot. Some finish has come off the back and it has a couple small nicks. Please look carefully at the many photos.

The electronics all sound great and the the EQ is amazing. It's a tone machine.

The new owner will want to have the bass professionally setup to they're own liking.

If you know how great these basses are or may be aware of how great people like Percy Jones, Mick Karn, or Geddy Lee have made them sound, this may be the one for you.

Comes with very heavy flight case, which adds to the shipping cost.

Tough to sell, but I have another!

Thanks.
