Gibson Q3000 Custom Shop 1985 Ferrari Red

Here is a rare bird you don't see everyday! 1985 Q3000. There are a bunch of lower end Q series guitars out there, but this is one of the top dogs. This guitar is so easy to play and simple to use. I bought it back in 1996 from a gibson collector in Kalamazoo, Mi. It has sat in its case until last year when I pulled it out to finally play it. For some reason the tuners were not working properly and the electronics were full of static. I replaced the tuners with the correct ones and bought an RS guitar works electronics kit and had it professionally installed with all new upgraded toggle switches. Basically an on on/off switch for each pickup. It is super cool for what it is. The Kahler trem works great! It never had the original whammy bar, but I've never needed it as I don't play it... Ever. The case is missing the handle, but does it's job perfectly. It will ship with the original tuners and electronics. The 2013 vintage buyers guide says $1500 in excellent condition which it is.. Gibson told me last year that only 47 of these were made in Ferrari red as a Neal Schon prototype guitar, but he then went with PRS at the last minute, and since they were built already the just shipped them as a custom shop model instead of a signature model. I had to talk to a couple different customer service people until I found the one that knew the story. That being said it's time for her to find a new home.
