Description:

Up for sale is a preowned Recording King RG-32 Lap Steel in Gloss Sunburst with upgraded palm benders in good condition.

The RG-32 is a traditional six-string electric lap steel built around a solid mahogany body, string-through-body construction, and a single P-90-style pickup with simple volume and tone controls. This example has also been upgraded with palm benders, giving the player mechanical pitch-bending capability for pedal-steel-style note movement and chord changes while retaining the compact simplicity of a lap steel.

This example is in good condition and shows visible cosmetic wear and evidence of previous modification. There are two holes drilled through the body from an earlier modification, scratches across the back, and two dings near the lower portion of the back of the body. One of the rear string ferrules is also missing. The upgraded palm benders are currently installed and the instrument has been tested to be fully functional.
