Skreddy Serenity Srive
This listing is for a Skreddy Serenity Fuzzdrive, in excellent condition. In fact, it’s in like-new condition. It’s a fantastic and articulate sounding fuzzdrive pedal, capable of searing gain, as well as overdrive tones. Here‘s a description from Skreddy;
Serenity Fuzzdrive
Smooth, sweet, amp-like fuzzy drive
Fat and full range, but without boosting unpleasant or "congested" low-midrange frequencies
You control the emphasis and balance of the prominent frequency ranges
Smooth, sweet amp-like gain that goes from cleanish boost to overdrive to compressed sustainReviews • Sound Clips • Manual
Even-handed low end; not boomy, not thin; the Body knob sets its level from fat to neutral to streamlined--emphasizing fatness and low mids most of the time, though! Turn all the way up to get the most transparent and articulate response. I generally use it as a LEAD boost and not as a foundational drive, because that's where its juiciness and saturation work best.
Incredibly smooth, harmonically-rich, liquid sustain, like a mega compressor cascading into a high-gain boost, when Fuzz and Hot are cranked
Low noise but clear and lively
Perfectly balanced sound that carries from cleanish all the way into fuzz
Class A overdrive / distortion / fuzz with no clipping diodes, no op-amps, and no active tone controls
Natural EQ footprint with special attention paid to phase integrity of the audio signal
The effect is a very straightforward sound that evokes the feel of your guitar plugged directly into a cooking tube amp at low gain settings and a boosted yet transparent fuzz at high gain settings.
Magically flexible gain that lets the strings sing
Can go from mild, open overdrive to near-infinite sustain, maintaining the guitar's clarity, sweetness, and eq footprint all along the way
There is an in-between state here between fuzz and tube amp, between liquid sustain and airy articulation, between having its own voice and retaining the guitar's voice while propelling it into the high-gain realm.
Controls: VOL Plenty of volume: finds unity gain around noon depending on the strength of your pickups. Lots of boost available beyond. FUZZ adjusts the gain of the distortion section for a huge range between clean and cranked-amp-style fuzz that still holds the guitar's sound together rather than imparting its own "fuzz" tone to it. HOT adjusts the input gain; goes from an un-colored chimey sound counterclockwise to a sustaining, compressed sound clockwise. Also adds lots more smoothness and slightly darkens the signal when turned up (due to the Miller Effect), so if you want a brighter, more articulate tone, adjust this down. PRES opens up, or dampens, the top end; neutral in the center, transparent and bright at full up and mildly dark all the way down while still retaining the mids. BODY adjusts the basic nature of the voice via the balance of lower mids and upper mids going into the distortion stage: neutral at around 3:00 o'clock (it is biased toward a fatter tone, so you'll really have to crank this to dial out the low end), more articulate and cutting fully clockwise, thick and smooth at noon, and extra bottom end fully counter-clockwise.
The range of gain on this pedal is amazing, staying articulate and musical throughout. It cleans up very well with the guitar’s volume knob. With a clean boost after it, the Serenity could easily be the only overdrive/ distortion/ fuzz pedal . Check out YouTube and the Skreddy site for audio/ video examples of this stellar dirt pedal. Comes with original box and literature. Thanks for viewing!
