The Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Gen is an 18-in/8-out USB audio interface with four mic preamps on the front panel. It includes two combo XLR/TRS inputs with 10 dB pads and two additional TRS line inputs, plus ADAT optical and S/PDIF digital I/O. The unit runs on an external 12V DC power supply and connects via USB 2.0 Type B.
Focusrite Control software provides routing and low-latency monitoring. Two independent headphone outputs with dedicated level controls are on the front panel, and the rear panel has six balanced TRS line outputs plus RCA S/PDIF I/O. Sample rates up to 192 kHz are supported.
