Vintage Framus Sunburst 5/110 Atlantic Hollow Body Electric Guitar
Fresh from an estate. Comes with original case.
Framus 5/110 Atlantic thinline hollowbody.
It was built in Germany at the end of the 60's. Laminated maple and mahogany top, sides, and back. It has all the original parts.
It has 3 switches: The first two are on/off for each pickup (bass and treble) The third switch has the solo/rhythm function.
The pickups are single-coil, with independent Alnico magnets, they sound super-clear and powerful. When the two pickups are connected together, a somewhat nasal sound is heard, since the pickups are in anti-phase (from the factory). It also has independent volume and tone for each pickup.
It comes equipped with a wooden bridge and a Bigsby-style vibrato tailpiece from Framus.
The neck is straight and the frets have normal wear.
It is a full size guitar at 17" inches wide at the hips. The body is about 10 cm longer than a Gibson 335.
Everything works and it plays good, but it could use a cleaning and a once over by a tech.
Handle is loose on the case.
Sold As-Is.
