This Epiphone Olympic was built in New York in 1943 and is a wonderful example of an early American vintage archtop. The model became particularly famous through David Rawlings, who has played a 1935 Olympic for many years.

Featuring an arched spruce top, mahogany back and sides and a beautifully figured Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, this guitar delivers an incredibly dry, woody and direct vintage tone with strong mids, excellent response and surprising volume. A fantastic instrument for blues, jazz, folk and traditional flatpicking.

Condition:
Authentic vintage condition with extensive playwear and beautiful natural patina. The original pickguard is missing. The guitar has received a professional neck reset and complete refret. The truss rod works perfectly, and there are no cracks or structural issues. Technically, the guitar is in excellent condition and offers outstanding playability.

String action:
Low E: 2.6 mm at the 12th fret
High e: 1.7 mm at the 12th fret
