Epiphone FT-120 Acoustic (Natural, Hard Case) – Very Good Condition | Tested by Mostly Music
MOSTLY MUSIC CERTIFIED INSPECTION
This Epiphone FT-120 was received on consignment. We inspected and play-tested the guitar. It is in Very Good condition and plays well. It comes with a hard case.
THE GUITAR & WHAT IT IS
The Epiphone FT-120 is a vintage acoustic from the FT series. The seller reports the year as 1969. We have not independently verified that date. Serial 562610 is consistent with the Japanese-era FT-120s typically associated with the early-to-mid 1970s Matsumoku production, but exact dating on these can be unclear without an interior label. This is the more common Japanese FT-120, not the earlier USA Excellente model. Natural finish, Grand Concert body, laminated spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a 24.75" scale.

CONDITION & COSMETICS – OUR BUY-IN REPORT
Rated Very Good condition based on our inspection.
Clean overall with light signs of careful use consistent with age. No major structural issues noted during our check. Frets are in good shape and the neck is straight. Bridge and tuners work as expected. We photographed it clearly so you can see the actual condition. The hard case is included and shows normal use for its age.
PLAYABILITY & SOUND NOTES FROM OUR TESTING
It plays comfortably for a vintage Japanese acoustic. The shorter 24.75" scale keeps it approachable. Voice is warm and mid-forward — useful for strumming and light fingerstyle. Adjustable bridge helps with action. A straightforward, usable older acoustic.

MOSTLY MUSIC USAGE TIPS & REAL-WORLD APPLICATIONS
This is a practical vintage acoustic for someone who wants 1970s-era Epiphone character (or the seller’s reported 1969 date) with a case included. Good for practice, campfire, or as a reliable older player. Treat the year as the seller’s information until you can confirm it yourself with an interior label or further research.
