A used EVH Frankenstein Relic Series, the signature model of Eddie Van Halen, has arrived!

As Eddie Van Halen’s legendary guitar, the Frankenstein, affectionately known as “Frankie,” has secured its place in rock guitar history. This model embodies Eddie’s unique vision, combining the classic sound of a single-cutaway guitar with the body shape reminiscent of a Fender Stratocaster and the versatility of a tremolo system.

This model recreates the iconic Frankenstein style with a striking black finish and a relic treatment designed to evoke the appearance of a guitar played for decades. Its well-worn look and commanding presence bring to mind the classic Van Halen sound.

The basswood body delivers a powerful midrange response and a tone that cuts through the mix in a band setting. A direct-mounted Wolfgang humbucker provides a thick, punchy tone with plenty of attack. Paired with a high-gain amplifier, it delivers the powerful rock sound synonymous with Eddie Van Halen.

The neck is crafted from quarter-sawn maple and paired with a maple fingerboard featuring a compound radius (12"–16"). This combination offers smooth playability and excellent comfort for fast, technical lead work. The fingerboard also features relic treatment, further enhancing the guitar’s vintage-inspired appearance.

The bridge features an EVH-spec Floyd Rose tremolo positioned close to the body. Its setup is optimized for downward tremolo travel, allowing for the dramatic dive-bomb techniques that became one of Eddie’s trademarks. The guitar is also equipped with the EVH D-Tuna, which allows quick switching between standard tuning and Drop D tuning with a simple movement.

Combining the legendary looks and sound of the Frankenstein with performance-oriented features for fast, expressive playing, this model is an excellent choice for Van Halen fans and guitarists who love hard rock and heavy lead playing.

Although this is a used instrument, it was originally designed with a relic finish that simulates paint wear, scratches, and signs of age. Please refer to the product photos and listing details for an accurate assessment of its current condition. The guitar is currently in good working order, with no issues affecting its playability or functionality, and is ready for normal use.

This model rarely becomes available, so don’t miss this opportunity.
