Original 1964 JMI Vox AC30 Top Boost – Original Celestion Blues – Vintage British Amplifier

$4,995 FIRM — Local Pickup Only

For sale is my original 1964 British-made JMI Vox AC30 Top Boost amplifier.

This is a genuine vintage, JMI-era AC30—not a reissue—featuring the original factory Top Boost circuit, original transformers, and original Celestion Alnico Blue speakers.

Serial Number: 13893 TB

This amplifier represents the golden era of Vox production, when these legendary British amplifiers helped define the sound of the 1960s.

The original Celestion Blue speakers are an especially important part of this amplifier’s character, delivering the unmistakable chime, harmonic complexity, rich midrange, and natural compression that made these early AC30s so desirable.

Condition

This amplifier has been recently professionally serviced and is in excellent working order.

The power indicator lamp recently stopped working. I will look for a replacement bulb. This does not affect the amplifier’s operation or sound in any way.

Cosmetically, it shows the honest wear and patina expected of an approximately 60-year-old amplifier. The original grille cloth has some tears and wear, which are visible in the photographs.

I have intentionally preserved its vintage appearance rather than attempting cosmetic restoration.

The original transformers and speakers remain intact, which is particularly important for the historical authenticity and collector appeal of an amplifier of this age.

Reason for Selling

I own two original vintage Vox AC30 amplifiers and have decided to part with one to help fund another guitar purchase.

This is an opportunity to own an authentic, original JMI-era Top Boost AC30 with its original transformers and Celestion Blue speakers, rather than a modern reproduction.
