All-original rare discontinued player grade artist model Gibson Memphis Shop semihollow florentine cutaway jazz guitar in Ebony for sale with original hardshell case. Technically “Vintage” at 30 years old. Extremely low reasonable price due to it’s good/fair condition and availability. Please read ad fully.

Specs: Maple thinline asymmetrical exploded LP shaped body. 495R/495T pickups, bound 24.75 scale ebony fingerboard, “Fingers” individually adjustable tailpiece, “Crown” headstock inlay. More specific details are abundant on the web.

The Good:

Frets are remarkably good for a guitar this age, electronics are all in working condition, plays and sounds like a dream. Case isn’t too beaten up or smoky.

The Bad:

Needs some TLC

I was told at Maar’s Music that the original owner was a Nashville session musician who retired in my neck of the woods during corona. This guitar has been played extensively and IS NOT collector grade. There is a bit of a ding in the heel, inevitable scuffs, divits and scratches here and there. Nothing along the back of the neck or structural thankfully. The edges of the headstock are quite scratched from regular use of string winders and guitar hangers. It would probably benefit from a new nut imo.

*The buyer will be required to restring, set-up and intonate the guitar to their individual playing preference.*

The Ugly:

There are a few spots on the top near the controls where the nitro has gone a bit blurry/dull/streaked/milky from unfortunate contact with alcohol and a rag. This could likely be buffed out by a professional and not permanent. Zoom in on last photo.

Selling due to regrettable health reasons – I can no longer do this guitar justice and am not in a rush to go buy more gear with the money. I’m losing a fair bit of coin on this sale trying to be an honest straight shooter.
