Ibanez j.custom RG8570 – Red Spinel (RS)

The pinnacle of Japanese guitar craftsmanship, Ibanez's prestigious j.custom series embodies a philosophy of combining traditional craftsmanship with uncompromising quality control and the most ambitious specifications imaginable. The RG8570 stands as one of the series' definitive masterpieces, representing the very best of Ibanez's flagship RG lineup. This brand-new example has arrived at our store, ready to deliver an exceptional playing experience.

Finished in RS: Red Spinel, this model features a deep, captivating red finish with a stunning, lustrous appearance. From carefully selected tonewoods and exquisitely detailed inlay work to premium hardware, every element reflects the pride and precision of Made in Japan craftsmanship.

Natural Beauty Meets the Finest Materials

AAA Flamed Maple Top & African Mahogany Body

The body features a luxurious 4 mm-thick AAA-grade flamed maple top, showcasing breathtaking three-dimensional figuring. The back is crafted from African mahogany, known for its rich, warm midrange and full-bodied low-end response. Together, these tonewoods deliver a broad frequency range and a powerful, resonant voice that brings out the full potential of a solid-body guitar.

Tree of Life Inlay

The bound rosewood fingerboard offers a well-balanced tonal character with natural warmth, complemented by the iconic Tree of Life inlay that has become a hallmark of the j.custom series. Inspired by the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, this intricate design showcases the extraordinary precision of Japanese woodworking and inlay craftsmanship.

An Exceptional Neck Designed for Effortless Playability

Super Wizard 5-Piece Maple/Wenge Neck

The RG8570 features Ibanez's ultra-thin Super Wizard neck profile, engineered for exceptional speed, comfort, and precision. Its five-piece maple and wenge construction combines an extremely slim feel with outstanding structural stability, making it ideal for demanding technical playing.

Velvetouch Finish & j.custom Fret Edge Treatment

The back of the neck features Ibanez's Velvetouch satin finish, providing a smooth, comfortable feel reminiscent of a well-played vintage instrument. The jumbo frets receive the exclusive j.custom Fret Edge Treatment, with each fret end meticulously rounded and polished by hand. The result is exceptionally smooth contact along the fingerboard, allowing fluid, comfortable playing all the way up to the highest frets.

All Access Neck Joint

The neck heel and body joint are sculpted into a remarkably smooth, contoured transition, providing excellent access to the upper register. On this 24-fret RG, the design minimizes obstruction and allows comfortable, unrestricted playing in the highest positions.

Versatile Tone and Premium Hardware

DiMarzio® HSH Pickup Configuration

The RG8570 is equipped with a carefully selected trio of DiMarzio pickups in an HSH configuration, directly mounted to the body for a streamlined design.

• Neck: Air Norton™ – Clear, warm, and expressive, delivering rich tonal detail.
• Middle: True Velvet™ – Bright and articulate, with exceptionally low noise.
• Bridge: The Tone Zone® – Powerful output, combining weighty lows with clear, cutting highs.

This versatile combination covers an impressive tonal spectrum, from pristine, expressive cleans and rich, glassy in-between tones to aggressive modern high-gain sounds. Its broad range of tonal possibilities makes the RG8570 equally suited to a wide variety of musical styles.

Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo Bridge

The guitar features Ibanez's renowned Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge, designed with a low-profile construction for a streamlined playing feel. Its rear-mounted fine tuners help minimize accidental contact during aggressive picking and palm muting, allowing for greater playing comfort while maintaining reliable tuning stability.

Gotoh® Hardware

The RG8570 comes equipped with Gotoh® machine heads, trusted by professional players worldwide for their precision and reliability. Gotoh® strap lock pins are also included from the factory, offering secure, convenient strap attachment and removal.

Combining exceptional Japanese craftsmanship, premium tonewoods, meticulous detailing, and outstanding playability, the Ibanez j.custom RG8570 is a flagship instrument built for players who demand excellence in every aspect of their guitar.
