The Fender American Professional Jaguar in Dark Night pairs the Jaguar’s compact 24" scale with V-Mod III single-coil pickups and an updated control system that expands on the traditional offset format. The alder body is finished in Dark Night polyurethane and matched with a rosewood fingerboard, four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, and aged white pickup covers.

Its maple neck uses Fender’s Deep “C” profile with smooth rolled fingerboard edges and a newly sculpted heel. The back receives a “Super-Natural” satin urethane finish, while the headstock face is gloss urethane. A 9.5"-radius rosewood fingerboard, 22 Narrow Tall frets, and a 1.685" bone nut round out the neck specifications.

Two V-Mod III single-coil Jaguar pickups are selected through a three-position toggle. The lead circuit provides master volume and tone, while switching to the rhythm circuit places both pickups in series and provides independent thumbwheel volume and tone controls. A push-push function on the tone control taps the bridge pickup for its lower-output vintage voicing.

The Panorama Jazzmaster Tremolo and ClassicGear J-Bridge provide the Jaguar’s vibrato system, with a pop-in arm for straightforward operation. Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuning machines and a Micro-Tilt-equipped asymmetrical neck plate complete the hardware.
