The Chet Atkins SST (Steel String) has arrived.
It was manufactured in 2001.
The finish color is Heritage Cherry Sunburst, the same as the color featured in the 2001 Gibson catalog.
Since Antique Natural is the standard on the domestic used market, this finish color may be somewhat rare.
Its greatest advantage is its unique core structure, which features no soundhole or chambering and is constructed much like a solid-body guitar. This design allows you to achieve an acoustic-guitar-like sound while avoiding feedback and howling.

Overall Condition
As this instrument is now in its 25th year since manufacture, it is by no means like new; it shows signs of wear consistent with its age. However, it remains in excellent, fully original condition.
There are various marks of damage, both large and small?including scratches from picking, scratches and dents caused by handling, peeling of the finish, and cracks in the finish due to thinning over time?but there are no signs of critical damage that would compromise the wood itself.
Additionally, there is some dirt on parts of the body back that cannot be removed with standard maintenance using guitar polish, but this does not interfere with playing.
While there are some minor signs of aging, the electronics are functioning properly and the guitar has been restored to a clean condition. Please bring this legendary instrument?developed in the past by Gibson and Chet Atkins?back to life through your playing!
