Offered here is a very attractive example of the legendary TEAC X-2000R, one of the company's finest and most sophisticated consumer open-reel tape recorders, presented in its handsome wood cabinet.

This machine has been thoroughly function tested, with all functions tested and passed. Please see the video demonstrating basic operation is included with the listing.

The X-2000R represents the culmination of decades of TEAC engineering, combining an advanced six-head bidirectional recording system, closed-loop dual-capstan transport, sophisticated tape tension control, and dbx noise reduction in an exceptionally capable analog recorder.

CONDITION AND OPERATION

Operational condition:

All functions have been tested and passed. The machine operates properly, including its recording and playback functions and bidirectional transport operation.

Cosmetic condition:

The deck is in very nice overall cosmetic condition, with an attractive black faceplate, clean controls, and its original-style wood cabinet.

The cabinet displays some minor cosmetic wear consistent with age and use, including small rough areas along the edges, light surface marks, and localized finish imperfections. There is no significant cabinet damage.

The faceplate, transport controls, reel tables, and other visible components present very well.
