Fender Japan MG69-65CO Competition Mustang 2004, in Fiesta Red
This Japanese Competition Mustang has had some useful changes under the bonnet. A pair of Lace Sensor Gold pickups, an added Cranetortoise/ALBIT active boost and Gotoh locking tuners give it a specification quite different from a standard MG69-65.
The Gold Sensors are designed around a clear, vintage-style single-coil voice, while the added boost gives you another option for pushing an amp or drive pedal. The Gotoh HAP locking tuners have ivory-coloured buttons. These are permanent modifications: additional control holes and routing have been carried out, and a rear battery compartment has been fitted for the boost circuit.
The guitar is in very good condition and has been professionally set up. It plays beautifully. There is a small but deep ding on the front of the body, along with a couple of other body dings and scratches. These are cosmetic, are not structural and do not affect playability.
