The GB10EM is a full hollow body engineered to deliver the warm, articulate jazz tone that defined George Benson's signature sound. Built with a laminated spruce top and optimized electronics, this single-cutaway instrument balances natural resonance with controlled feedback, making it equally suited to fingerstyle sophistication and ensemble settings. The antique amber finish and refined construction deliver professional-grade response without unnecessary weight.
Tone & ElectronicsTwo floating Magic Touch-Mini humbuckers capture the full resonance of the spruce top while preserving the hollow body's natural sustain, producing warm tones that sit naturally in mixed instrumentation. The walnut bridge and VT14 tailpiece with wood cover optimize vibration transfer across all frequency ranges, contributing to balanced articulation from warm lows through articulate highs.
Playability & ConstructionThe walnut-capped nyatoh neck provides stability and comfortable handling, while the rosewood fretboard with acrylic block inlay and medium frets support both legato lines and percussive articulation across the 22-fret span. A 10.4mm string spacing accommodates both fingerstyle and pick-driven approaches without cramping, and the full hollow body design reduces fatigue during extended sessions.
