Vintage 1970s Yamaha Red Label FG-75
Vintage 1970’s Yamaha Red Label FG-75 Acoustic Guitar — Made in Taiwan
This Yamaha FG-75 is a vintage six-string acoustic from Yamaha’s classic FG line. The label identifies it as an FG-75, and the back of the headstock is stamped “Made in Taiwan.” Taiwan-made FG-75s were produced in the 1970s; the exact year of this guitar has not been confirmed.
The FG-75 has a compact, rounded-shoulder body that’s smaller than a typical dreadnought. Yamaha’s vintage model archive lists the FG-75 with a spruce top, agathis back and sides, a nato neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. Its natural finish, dark pickguard, and simple dot position markers give it a classic vintage look.
Condition: The guitar shows visible cosmetic wear consistent with age, including scratches and scuffs on the top and pickguard, plus discoloration on the tuner buttons. There is also a small noticeable mark on the top near the upper bout. Please review all photos closely for the exact cosmetic condition.
