Guyatone EB-4 shortscale bass '60s MIJ tobacco-burst

Vintage '60s Guyatone EB-4 bass, made in Japan, boasts a mahogany offset body with a tobacco-burst finish, a beefy but comfy C-shaped neck with a 20-feet rosewood fretboard, distinctive chrome pickguard/control panel, white knurled witch-hat knobs, chrome pickup cover and chrome bridge. This bass is a no-brainer with flatwound strings for a warm, rounded thump and plenty of vintage character. It slots into the band mix effortlessly with a pick or finger-style. Stands out without compromising or competing. A real studio darling, definitely a "what's that" head turner from engineers... in a very good way.

All original apart from one replaced tone capacitor. Weighs 7.1 lb but sounds like it weighs 13lb. Frets are in good shape, the neck is solid, and the truss rod turns. Tuning machines are crude but work. Single pickup with straightforward volume and tone controls.

A distinctive Japanese vintage bass with great retro styling and an old-school feel. Please review the photos carefully for cosmetic condition. Sold as-is.
