For sale is a 2004 Fender '62 American Vintage Reissue Precision Bass in its original case.
THE BAD This one has its share of dings and scratches - the majority are on the body's bottom and three dings on the back of the upper horn (pictured). There are also several indentations on the back of the neck - principally behind the 6th & 7th frets. The thickness of the neck at the 1st fret is .835". My plan was to sand the sticky nitro finish off the back of the neck reducing the neck's thickness to Custom Shop specs of .790" thereby eliminating the dings. Picture Custom Shop Journeyman Relic condition.
The Good The neck is straight with low action. It sounds like a P-Bass should. It weighs 8 lbs. 13 oz. with the pickup cover mounted. The bridge cover was never installed, but is included. I prefer basses that are 20+ years old. The wood has dried out - the necks are stable and the paint finishes no longer feel "plasticy".
