Kawai XD-5 / Vintage 90's Drum Module
Our users rate Reverb
Kawai XD-5 drum/synth with power supply and owner's manual. MIDI receive channel is set to #16. A photocopy of the page in the manual that instructs how to change the MIDI receive and transmit is included. I tested the unit by powering it up and scrolling through the available kits, but I no longer have a MIDI sequencer to trigger the individual sounds. I'm assuming if all the kits show up, the individual sounds should be there too. One of the best features of this drum synth is that you can tweak different drum sounds... for me, programming a unique, realistic, open hi-hat sound is this unit's claim to fame. This unit has been stored in a MIDI flight case for the past twenty years so actual usage time is much less than its age.
