Overview: Up for sale is a classic Korg M1 Music Workstation. I originally purchased this new in 1991 and it's been lightly used over its lifetime. The instrument has been tested, gently cleaned, and a fresh internal battery was just installed. It sounds fantastic and is ready to play. Cosmetically, it is in good shape with only normal wear and tear consistent with its age.

Condition & Functionality:

• Keybed: All 61 keys are even, move smoothly, and velocity sensitivity works well across the entire board. A few individual keys that were sticking were recently cleaned and lubricated with synthetic, plastic-safe grease to restore their action.
• System: A new internal battery was installed, and the synth has been factory reset to load all the original factory programs, combis, and sequences.
• Hardware Tested: The Left/Right main audio outputs, Headphone jack, MIDI (In/Out), and Pedal jacks have all been tested and are working. The Pitch/Mod joystick works in all directions.
• Display: The LCD screen is clear, the contrast is sharp, and the backlight is functional.

Known Issues: As is common with M1s of this era, several of the front-panel tactile switches have become intermittent with age.

• Combi, Prog, and Seq work normally.
• Edit Combi sometimes requires more than one press.
• Global can require several presses but does work.
• Edit Prog is very intermittent and often does not register.
• The number pad is generally good, although a couple of numbers occasionally require an extra press.

The M1 is very playable as-is for using the factory Programs and Combinations, but anyone wanting full access to the programming functions should plan on replacing the aging tactile switches at some point. The instrument is therefore being sold with these switch issues fully disclosed and with returns not accepted.
