Hello, I’m an old weekend warrior guitarist, guitar enthusiast, handman by trade, & part time luthier. At 73 I’ve now retired and have been playing and building guitars. My recent health issues and surgeries have slowed me down and I’m afraid the time has come to part with my inventory. I have numerous PRS guitars and have built many Warmoth and Precision guitar kits. I’ll list them all below, but this sale is for just the guitar pictured here. PRS KOREAN BUILT ZACH MYERS – McCarty top

I bought this NEW from Sweetwater in back in 2015. It was one of my favorites and is still in very good player’s condition. The McCarty top is outstanding! I think if it was a core model it would have been a 10. It is the highly sought after early Korean built ones and, unlike the new ones made out of numerous chunks of wood this body appears to be two piece and better yet the neck is one piece and by chance appears to be quarter-sawn. It sounds very alive with great resonance and sustain and at just 7 lbs. 3.4 ozs. very comfortable for that long session. 

I had different pickups in it at one time and that’s when I installed the CTS pots, orange drop caps, and a Switchcraft toggle. Other than that, the PRS Amber knobs, and custom truss rod cover, it is all back to stock and set up with a new Stringjoy set of 10s. If you want a sought-after early Korean made Zach Myers, this is the one.
